ello millers'

Shewwee. It's been a crazy busy month for me! I just finished my 3 weddings in a row spree: Cleveland, St.Louis, Dallas. I got home this afternoon & took a very long nap. I was away from home the wed-sun for two of the trips so I feel like I've been gone for awhile. This past wedding they flew me first class- that was so cool. I wanted to take pictures of the whole thing- the heated bowl of peanuts, the hot towel to wash my hands with, the meal & the endless glasses of wine- that was my favorite part!

BUT, i wanted to post not about the huge bags under my eyes, but about the wonderful present that arrived while I was gone. I commissioned a fairly well known artist Beth Loftin to do a painting of grandpa & grandma for me. We sold her work at a gallery here in Scottsdale that I use to work for & when I approached her, she loved their story and agreed to do it. I decided on this because I needed something material "from them" that I could touch & see & make me smile. My sister has talked about getting a beautiful ring that would be symbolically them- which is what my mom did as well. I'm not into diamonds so a painting was the best option for me. I really suggest everyone doing something like this. It seems to help in some odd way. With no further ado- I introduce to you the painting of grandma & grandpa! I love it. I'm going to take it this week to get framed :)

god, they were gorgeous! look at their faces & his arms. grrrrrrrrrr. that's why we are all so hot. good genes.

didn't she do a fabulous job. i almost started crying- I love it! I'm going to rearrange my office so that it hangs above my desk & I can look at it all day long.

miss you guys. oh ps. bryan & i are throwing a party for halloween if anyone wants to travel our way ;)
